1983 | Eduard Kaufmann sells his company to Wolfgang Rinklake. The company Eduard Kaufmann GmbH is founded and the company headquarters is moved to Neuwied in Rheinland (in Germany). Eduard Kaufmann receives a utility patent from the German Patent Office for the first stainless steel rescue basket, which reduces the danger of arcing during rescue operations. With this invention, Kaufmann supplanted all the other baskets out of use in German mines. |

1962 | Eduard Kaufmann was commissioned to create a bandage canister as a supplement — as a durable transportable container for first aid needs underground. A round container of metal with a lid and carrier straps was created, and it contained an emergency supply of bandages. |
